Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. – JKPeV is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation founded in Dresden in 2004. JKPeV designs, develops, implements and manages sociocultural projects that aim to bring a positive impact on the society on local, national and European level through cross-cultural, art and educational activities and events that strengthen human relationships, promote active citizenship and foster dialogue, diversity and mutual understanding.


 The Position


This position will play a critical role in managing EU-funded projects (Erasmus+ Programme – Key Action 1, 2 & 3, Europe for Citizens etc.). Project management skills and attention to detail that the applicant brings, will be essential for the success and on-time delivery of the projects’ actions. Strong communication skills, experience in collaboration and partnership-based projects, positive energy and creative, analytical and independent thinking are required.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Planning, implementing and reporting contracted projects
  • Ensuring on-time project implementation, within scope and budget, as well as delivery of quality outputs
  • Measuring, controlling and monitoring progress of project partners
  • Implementing quality control and assurance assessments
  • Managing Partner and Stakeholders’ Relations through effective communication
  • Organising, implementing and moderating project meetings and events
  • Managing project teams
  • Monitoring project budget in cooperation with the Financial Officer
  • Promoting JKPeV’s projects and their outputs through the organisation of events, the use of social media, on local, regional, national and international level
  • Exploitation and building upon the complementary projects delivered by JKPeV
  • Doing research based on the topic(s) of JKPeV’s project(s)
  • Developing training material for Face-to-Face and Distance learning
  • Planning, developing and delivering educational workshops, trainings and seminars based on non-formal learning methods (youth & adult education)




  • Academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations/Political Sciences / Social Sciences & Humanities/Education/Cultural Studies and ideally a Master’s degree in the field of Project Management. Certification in Project Management will be considered as a strong asset
  • 5+ years working experience in implementing and managing EU-funded projects
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of project management software tools will be considered as a strong asset
  • Experience in strategic planning & risk management
  • Experience in planning, developing and delivering workshops, seminars and trainings
  • Strong presentation skills-preparation and delivery
  • Excellent English knowledge (oral and written). Very good knowledge of German language will be considered as a strong asset
  • Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities, with demonstrable experience
  • Solid, demonstrable organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Availability to travel within Germany and abroad (Schengen and non-Schengen) in order to participate in project meetings, trainings and events
