About This Project

EVERYDAY HEROES

Mobility of Youth Workers, Training Course

Duration: 12-19 November 2018

Everyday Heroes – Civil Courage and Combating Hate Speech

.

The training course Everyday Heroes is addressed to youth workers, youth leaders, youth educators and volunteers in a youth organisation/centre from Albania, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom. It’s main aim is the promotion of civil courage based on democratic values.

.

During the training course, participants will learn methods and techniques that encourage young people in their communities and the participants themselves to take action and defend principles of justice, fairness and morality as well as to speak up in situations marked by injustice and racist discrimination. The participants will learn how to stand up for their opinions and rights and understand that silence is not a solution.

.

The methodology of the training course is based on switching between theoretical inputs, action-promoting simulation games and interactive exercises. The learning content offers numerous opportunities to reflect on one’s own actions and to exchange ideas with the other group members.

.

The training course will be based on peer-learning, interactive presentations and workshops. All activities will be based on team work. Theoretical sessions, based on the most advanced scientific knowledge, will be also integrated, but performed in an interactive way.
