Community Media Competences in the Context of Fake News

  |   News

During three evening sessions on May 20th, 21st and 25th, the IO4 training on Community Media Competences in the Context of Fake News was held online within the framework of the WIRES-CROSSED project. The foundation for this training was the comprehensive set of learning and teaching resources developed by all project partners in terms of fake news, media production skills, and media moderation skills. The trainees were teachers, youth workers and volunteers in education who all have a shared interest in community media. The main goals of this training were to provide participants with the opportunity to enhance their own media competences and to become familiar with the developed resources, thus enabling them to support their own community media teams in the future. Towards the end of the course, the potential for all trainees to stay engaged in upcoming project events was also discussed.

We would like to thank all participants for your sincere interest in this topic and for being actively involved in all sessions!
