Kick-off Meeting of the RESCUE project
We are excited to be part of the recently approved Erasmus+ KA2 cooperation project under the title “Raise your voice against Plastic – RESCUE”! RESCUE aims at raising young people’s environmental awareness on the long-term impact that the use of plastic has on the environment and human health, promoting more sustainable consumption patterns and fostering green initiatives. Young people, youth workers and NGO practitioners will be provided with all necessary and innovative tools to become agents of change and thus, save resources, reduce the use of energy and waste, compensate carbon footprint emissions, and choose more sustainable and environmentally friendly food and mobility options.
On 6-7 March 2023, the JKPeV team represented by Magdalena and Stefan, joined the online kick-off-meeting hosted via Zoom by the project coordinator, Südwind from Austria, represented by Lisa, Julia, Gudrun and Stefan. The RESCUE project consortium also consists of KAINOTOMIA from Greece, represented by Mike and Alexandra, CWEP from Poland represented by Agnieszka and Joanna, YES – Youth Europe Service represented by Antonino and Veronica and Cuiablue from Estonia, represented by Andrea and Isabel.
We discussed the project’s main objectives, its activities and outputs, the expected results and their impact. The following outputs were presented and discussed:
- An e-learning platform with theoretical modules, activities, and an open space for exchange and the possibility to involve relevant European networks
- “How to run a green campaign” Guide addressed to youth workers on how they can educate young people to organize, run and promote an environmental campaign against plastic usage. The Guide includes tools, methods and best practices for initiating and making a successful campaign.
- “Become a Green Ambassador” Campaign addressing young people across Europe through podcasts, TikTok videos, vlogs and other media widely used by youth.
The first face-to-face partners’ meeting is going to take place in June 2023 in Dresden-Germany hosted by @JKPeV. We are looking forward to welcoming the RESCUE project-team to KulturZentrale by JKPeV!
