FUTURE. DIGITAL. COLOURFUL. [2021]

About This Project

FUTURE. DIGITAL. COLOURFUL.

01.11.2021 – 31.12.2021

As the world battles the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are experiencing an unprecedented global shutdown of all cultural events. At a time when our cultural sector is under considerable strain, digital technologies are taking on an increasingly central role. Few things have had such an impact on our society as digitalisation. The arts and culture scene, but also the education sector, have been revolutionised and expanded by the new possibilities they offer. Digitallisation is based first and foremost on technology, which is in a constant state of change and demands permanent further development of the cultural and educational sector.

In its function as a non-profit association with a focus on art, culture, and education, the Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. (JKPeV) has already created a digital profile in recent years and acquired competencies in working with digital technologies. Within the framework of the 100xDIGITAL funding programme, these existing structures and competences are to be further consolidated and expanded. Digital technologies play a key role in all current and future projects – from conception to planning and implementation to evaluation. Digitalisation reveals itself as a universal development that has now found its way into all areas of life. When we speak about digital culture, we also mean a culture that is there for everyone and is, therefore, more colourful and diverse.

Within the framework of the funding programme, the JKPeV would like to expand the possibilities that digitalisation offers, especially for its work with youth and young adults. The main objective is to design and implement projects that not only have a positive impact on society but also enable diversity and inclusion and promote active participation and civic engagement.

The project is co-financed by the Deutschen Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt (German Foundation for Engagement and Volunteering)
